Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Lina Maria Garcia Ltd, a company registered in Israel under company number 514890946, of 5 Hayam St., Bat Yam 46322, Israel (“we”, “us”), which makes ParentFile at getparentfile.com. By creating an account or buying, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ParentFile.
1. What ParentFile is
ParentFile is an organization tool. It helps you record a family member's medications, allergies, doctors, insurance details, contacts and the location of important documents, and print or share that information. You can photograph labels and documents, and ParentFile uses automated text recognition (including AI services) to suggest entries that you review and confirm.
2. Not medical or legal advice
- ParentFile does not give medical, pharmaceutical or legal advice. It does not recommend doses, check for drug interactions, diagnose conditions or tell you what to do in an emergency.
- Suggestions read from photos can be wrong. You are responsible for checking every item against the original label or document before relying on it, and for keeping it current. Always confirm medication details with the prescriber or pharmacist.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 999 in the UK).
- The documents map is a checklist of where papers are kept. It is not a legal document and does not create, replace or validate any power of attorney, advance directive or will.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. ParentFile is not directed to children. You may only add information about another person if you are entitled to do so, for example because they asked you to help, you hold authority to act for them, or you are a family caregiver acting in their interest. You are responsible for respecting their wishes and privacy.
4. Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure. You're responsible for activity on your account and for who you send share links or PINs to. Tell us at support@getparentfile.com if you think your account has been misused.
5. Prices and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. In practice this means:
- You buy from Paddle, which resells ParentFile to you. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase itself.
- Paddle collects payment, calculates and remits sales tax or VAT, issues receipts and processes refunds. The charge appears on your statement under Paddle.
- We never see or store your full card details.
ParentFile Kit
A one-time payment of $79 (USD, plus any applicable tax) for one account covering up to two parents or family members. It includes 12 months of Keep Current from the date of purchase.
Founding Families offer
For the first 500 families, or until Dec 31, 2026 at 23:59 UTC if that comes first, the Kit is $39 instead of $79 (applied automatically at checkout). Founding families can renew Keep Current at $39 a year instead of $59 for life. If you get a refund, the Founding rate ends with it. After the offer ends, the regular prices apply.
Keep Current (optional renewal)
After the included 12 months you may choose to subscribe to Keep Current for $59 a year. It renews automatically each year until you cancel. We email you at least 7 days before each renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us; cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Keep Current until the end of the period already paid for.
What you keep if you don't renew
If Keep Current ends, your file stays available to view, edit by hand, print, share and export (PDF and data file). New photo reading, the discharge comparison tool, sibling change alerts and the dose log pause until you renew.
Price changes
We may change prices for future purchases. For an existing Keep Current subscription we'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 60 days of purchase, for any reason. See the Refund policy. This doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer law.
7. Your content
Information and photos you add remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run ParentFile for you, including sending photos to our text-recognition providers to read them, and showing information to people you choose to share with. You can export or delete your content at any time. See the Privacy policy.
8. Sharing
Share links and QR codes let anyone who has them view the information you chose to share, without an account. Treat them like a house key: add a PIN where offered, hide insurance numbers if you prefer, and switch a link off when it's no longer needed.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use ParentFile to break the law, to store information about someone against their wishes, to upload malware, to try to access other people's data, to overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to resell it without our written permission.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep ParentFile available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, so always keep a printed copy of the ER sheet. We may improve or change features. If we ever discontinue ParentFile, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice so you can export everything.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time; this permanently deletes your data. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, ParentFile is provided “as is”; we are not liable for decisions made using information in your file, for errors in information you confirmed, or for indirect or consequential losses; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for ParentFile in the 12 months before the claim.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you also have statutory rights, including that digital content must be as described and of satisfactory quality. These terms do not affect those rights.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have jurisdiction. However, if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you and post the new version here at least 30 days before it takes effect, except for changes required by law.
